FAQS
Do I need to know what I want to talk about?
Not at all. Many people come with a general sense that something isn't quite right, rather than one clear issue. We can begin wherever you are.
Can I talk to you before I decide?
Yes. Taking the first step can feel like the hardest part, so I try to make the process straightforward. We begin with a 20-minute online conversation to talk about what you're looking for and whether I might be the right counsellor for you. There is no cost for that initial discussion and no obligation to continue. If we decide to work together, we'll agree how we'd like to approach the work, and I'll send you everything you need before your first session.
How do I know whether counselling or coaching is right for me
You don't need to work that out on your own. We can talk about what's brought you here during our initial conversation and decide together which approach is likely to be most helpful.
Do you only work with grief and bereavement?
No. Although I have particular experience supporting people through grief, bereavement and loss, I also work with people navigating life transitions, work-related challenges, relationships, identity and periods of uncertainty or change.
How many sessions will I need?
There isn't a standard answer. Some people come for a relatively short period, while others choose longer-term therapy. Some choose a mixture of counselling and coaching. We'll review our work together regularly and decide what feels right for you.
Do you work online only?
No. I currently work online, allowing you to access counselling or coaching wherever you are. I am also open to working in person, and we can discuss this during our initial consultation if you would prefer face-to-face counselling or coaching. I am based in South West London.
How do I book?
You can book a free initial conversation here. This gives us the opportunity to decide whether we're the right fit to work together. There is no obligation to continue.
Do I need to do anything to get started with you?
If we decide to work together, we'll agree how we'd like to approach the work, and I'll send you everything you need before your first session.
What happens in the first session?
Our first full session is an opportunity to begin getting to know one another and to explore what's brought you here. There is no expectation that you arrive with everything worked out. We'll simply begin the conversation together.
Are psychometric tools included in coaching
Yes, as an add-on option. We would talk together how this option might work for you.
